China's steel imports and exports in 2020: From January to December, the total export of steel products is 53.677 million tons, and the total import of steel products is 20.233 million tons. my country's steel exports are far greater than steel imports. Among them, 16.085 million tons of plates were imported, an increase of 5.76 million tons year-on-year. Plates include hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled plates, medium-thick plates, and coated plates and strips.

In addition, some steel bars, wires, bars, and electrical steel are also imported. Main sources of imports: Asia, Europe. Among them, Japan and South Korea have always been the main importing countries of my country's steel, and these two countries accounted for about 3/4 of the import volume.

The main steel types of imports: first, the general steel products imported due to market prices, without too high technical content; second, imports formed by cooperation agreements between Chinese and foreign companies, such as many joint venture automobile factories designated to use foreign car plates; third, my country relies on imports The types of steel products mainly include: high-end special steel, deep-drawn tin plate, tool steel, high-end rigging wire rope steel, steel for some automobiles and household appliances, etc.
