WSA: April global crude steel production increased by 23.3%

In April 2021, the crude steel output of the 64 countries included in the World Steel Association statistics was 169.5 million tons, an increase of 23.3% year-on-year.

In April 2021, China's crude steel output was 97.9 million tons, an increase of 13.4% year-on-year. India's crude steel output was 8.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 152.1%. Japan's crude steel production was 7.8 million tons, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year. U.S. crude steel production was 6.9 million tons, an increase of 43.0% year-on-year. Russian crude steel production is estimated at 6.5 million tons, an increase of 15.1% year-on-year. South Korean crude steel production is estimated at 5.9 million tons, an increase of 15.4% year-on-year. German crude steel production is estimated at 3.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 31.5%. Turkey's crude steel output was 3.3 million tons, an increase of 46.6% year-on-year. Brazil's crude steel output was 3.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 31.5%. Iran’s crude steel production is estimated at 2.5 million tons, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year.
